Watchtower
Assorted asset tracking
Watchtower is an immensely complex and powerful tracking platform, pulling data from a myriad of sources and combining it into a single useful common operating picture for a variety of customer bases, from military applications to corrections facilities and everything in between. The main design challenges in redesigning the user interface for Watchtower were to create a more space-conscious design, incorporate a more streamlined navigation approach, and to revise the look and feel of the program to make it more modern and visually accessible. Carefully considered menu designs, workspace layouts, margins and a new color palette make this redesign a resounding success.
Connote
Software code tracking
Connote is a program that keeps track of complex code interactions in enterprise software and visually maps them for programmers. One of the biggest benefits of Connote is the ability to quickly see how different parts of a program are connected, and how changing one piece of code might affect another part of the software depending on that piece of code. The main challenge in redesigning the UI for Connote was to create a layout which makes it possible to see a map of where a piece of code is in the software alongside the code itself and a changes timeline with notes. One of the other redesign challenges was to use a color palette that would prevent eye fatigue, as programmers need to look at the interface for extended periods.
